It seems the wait is finally as things are going to change with the release of the next 2019 Honda S2000. Some time ago a new car was released by Honda aimed only at the Japanese market, this car named S660 was a tiny sports car and people believe that this will become the basis of the new S2000 but they turned out to be wrong. Recently some details came out about the all-new upcoming 2019 Honda S2000. It is going to be similar to its predecessor. If rumors are to be believed the car will have a rear wheel drive and a front engine. It is also going to get a light body. The makers have done a great job with the exterior look of the car. The car is still under the covers.
Since Honda has not confirmed anything about the car everything is based on the rumors that are out there. If these rumors are to be believed the all-new S2000 that the development will be handled by Acura and most likely the rear end of the car will look similar to the one on the Acura NSX. From the details that popped out a few months back, the 2019 Honda S2000 will get a lightweight construction and a rear wheel drive. It is going to get a mid-front engine. Most rumors suggest the car will have a low front end just like the one on the Acura NSX. 2019 Honda S2000 Interior
The most important upgrade that this new roadster will get is going to be for its interiors.
There isn’t much information about the interior but there is just enough to satisfy one’s curiosity. The 2019 Honda S2000 will get a minimalist look in all probability. The previous model had a very basic design for a cabin and this might be the case on the 2019 Honda S2000 as well. Although it will be flooded with features and the access of the controls will be a lot more than the other cars so that it will be easy for the driver to use everything easily even while driving at fast speeds. As of now only this much information is available on the car, hopefully, we will get a better insight into the near future. The car will use carbon fiber body and will definitely weight 2700 pounds.
2019 Honda S2000 Engine
In all probability just like the older version of the car, the new model will also get a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine which will be longitudinally-mounted. There is going to be a difference in the performance of both the engines as the latest one will be a turbocharged engine and Honda might also use its dual-stage electric supercharging unit. This will allow the engine to create the required torque even at the lower levels of RPM, by eliminating turbo-lag. The makers might also try to increase the fuel efficiency of the car as well. Honda will most likely use a six-speed manual transmission. As of now there is no update about the performance figures of the car but there is no doubt that the car will be capable of delivering a horsepower of well over 320. This will give it an edge over the other competitors. It will possibly become the fastest roadster on the market. There are not many rivals in this section and Honda has a great chance to capture the market with this gentle beast.
