The Honda CR-V, Honda’s long – running compact crossover, has undergone a complete transformation for the launch year 2017 with belligerent designing, auxiliary comfort and assertive performance with superlative safety features. 2017 Honda CR-V Engine

The 2017 Honda CR-V will be available in four trim levels: Base LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. A 184 hp 2.4 liter direct – injected engine with 180 pound feet of torque comes standard in the base model of CR-V, LX. The higher trims get a new 190 hp 1.5 liter direct injected turbocharged four cylinder engine with a torque of 179 pound feet. The estimated fuel efficiency is 34 mpg on the highways. Both will be coupled with Continuous Variable Transmission and Front Wheel Drive. The All Wheel Drive System comes optional.

Honda will be producing the 2017 CR-V on an entirely new chassis. It features a MacPherson Strut suspension upfront and a multi – link suspension at the rear end with stabilizer bars at both axles. The steering control will be well exhibited with Honda’s Variable Electric Power Steering. The front fascia has undergone aggressive fresh styling with sleek and sober grille and swiping off headlights. The rear windows have been reshaped with sloping edges. The wheelbase has become longer than its predecessor adding supplemental interior space to the vehicle. The base model will run over 17 inch alloy wheels and the higher trims will be getting 18 inch alloy wheels as standard.

Honda has claimed that the 2017 R-V will be boasting a massive rear seat leg room which will be the best in class. The seats have been beautifully designed with graceful stitches. The Infotainment System comprises of 7 inch touchscreen Display Audio interface with Navigation system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and the reappearance of volume knob. Multi – Angle Backup Camera, Power Exterior Mirrors, Keyless Entry and Bluetooth connectivity are the available standard features.

How many airbags in 2017 Honda CR-V?

The 2017 Honda CR-V will be equipped with three types of Airbags. There will be Front Airbags, Side Airbags and Side Curtain Airbags. The Front Airbags help to protect the head and chest of the driver and the front passenger. They remain housed in the centre of the steering wheel for the driver and in the dashboard for the front passenger. The Side Airbags protect the upper torso and pelvis of the driver and the front passenger during a side impact. They are embedded in the outer edge of the front seats’ backs. The Side Curtain Airbags protect the heads of all the occupants on the outer seating positions during a side impact or rollover. They are present in the ceiling above the side windows on both sides of the vehicle.

LED Daytime Running Lights, Dual Exhaust Tips, LED Headlights, Auto High Beam Head Lights, an Electric Parking Brake with Auto Brake Hold are additionally added features of the 2017 model.
