The Colorado is Chevrolet’s mid segment vehicle which stands somewhere between a full-size truck and a crossover. The midsize truck is being worked upon with a revised V6 engine and freshly designed transmission, better performance capability and special suspension hardware for the ZR2 model which significantly improves its off – road capability. 2017 Chevrolet Colorado Engine

There are three available engine options. A 2.5 liter inline four cylinder engine producing 200 hp and 191 pound feet of torque, comes paired with a six speed manual transmission. The optional engines are a new 3.6 liter V6 engine producing 308 hp and 275 pound feet of torque, available for the first time in Colorado. This comes paired with eight speed automatic transmission. The other optional engine is a 2.8 liter turbocharged four cylinder diesel engine producing 181 hp and 369 pound feet of torque. This is paired with a six speed automatic transmission. The 2017 Colorado can tow up to 7700 pounds with its optional diesel engine which is exclusive in this class. The fuel efficiency strategies are also clever which gives it a class apart recognition.

2017 Chevrolet Colorado Exteriors

The exteriors of the Colorado haven’t witnessed much transformation from its predecessor. The higher trims run over 17 inch alloy wheels. The 2017 Colorado will be available in two- and four- seat extended cab and five-seat crew-cab body styles. There are five trim levels: Base, Work Truck (WT), LT, Z71 and ZR2. The impressive part comes out to be the bed length that the vehicle offers.

The interiors are neither luxurious not padded, but they are comfortable and best in class for what a truck may hold. The cabin is mostly spacious apart from the rear legroom which is slightly tight. The cabin is mostly peaceful as the noise from road and wind is assertively absent.
