2019 Cadillac CTS-V Offers Some Very Minor Changes
The Cadillac Automobile Company was founded in the year 1902, which was exactly 115 years ago. A 115 years is a long time, and during this period, Cadillac has managed to become a big name and a huge force to reckon with in the automobile industry. In order to celebrate its long and successful journey of 115 years, Cadillac is coming out with its new and special edition vehicle 2019 Cadillac CTS-V. This special edition will also be known as the Glacier Metallic edition.
With this new vehicle, the company promises to offer its customers the perfect balance between track readiness and driving luxury. The car would be getting an aerodynamic design, while the technology present in the car will become more sophisticated. The supercharged power of the vehicle will make it one of the most powerful and high performing sedans in the market.
Based on the spy shots and pictures of the new Cadillac CTS-V released by the company, one thing can be said for sure, the looks of the car are a lot more sporty, reckless and temperamental than any of its previous versions.
One of the most significant and eye catching in the car is with regards to its color. The new vehicle will get a Glacier Metallic paint, which would give the appearance of smoky light gray. However, besides this significant change in the color of the vehicle, the rest of the changes are pretty minor in nature. Some of the changes that we did observe in the car are as follows:
2019 Cadillac CTS-V Exteriors
The designing of the exteriors of this new car are going to be extremely luxurious. The Cadillac brand has always been associated as a luxury brand, and with this new model, it hopes to accentuate this fact even further. The front fascia of the car is going to its highlight and has been made a lot nicer and aggressive than the previous models. The front grill will also get a new design and have the logo of the company fitted on the same. Larger air vents have been provided on the bonnet of the car in order to improve the cooling of the engine. Headlights will be fitted with LED technology. The wheels would be made from aluminum. However, there are going to some old popular factors that would go missing like the old colors, moonstone Metallic, etc., would be replaced by the new Glacier metallic paint. Besides the old colors, the Carbon Black Package will also not be available in the new sedan. The company has not offered any clarifications about the reason for discontinuing this packing, but it can be believed to have something to do with the take-up price. However, this means that you will no longer find the black chrome grill, V-series spoilers, Recaro seats and 18 inch alloy wheels which have been painted with After Midnight.
2019 Cadillac CTS-V Interiors:
There is a lot of technology that gets added to the interiors of the car. Like the heated steering wheels. Based on the ambient temperature, the heating on the steering wheel turn on and off automatically. This heating system is in conjunction with the automatic heating system in the driver’s seat. The customers will also get the option of an UltraView sunroof. The infotainment system present in the car is going to be top notch. This system will come with a redesigned UI. The navigation app used in the car will also be revamped. Some of the other technology added to the car includes a summary screen and driver profiles. Besides this, not much is going to change in the interiors of the car. A major thing missing from the car, along with colors is the glovebox mounted CD drive. This CD drive will not be available in any model of the new 2019 Cadillac CTS-V.
2019 Cadillac CTS-V Engine :
Powertrain: A supercharged, 6.2 liters, V8 engine will power this new 2019 Cadillac CTS-V. This engine will have the capacity to generate a power of up to 640 horsepower and 630 pound feet of torque. This engine will be attached to an 8 speed automatic transmission. However, there is one problem here, no manual transmission has been offered by the company. The top speed of the car can be expected to be above 200MPH, while the acceleration would go from 0 to 60MPH in just 3.7 seconds.
2019 Cadillac CTS-V Release Date and Price :
The company is planning to release this car into the markets somewhere in 2019. However, no confirmed or official date for the launch of the same has yet been announced by the company. As far as the price of the same is concerned, you can expect it to cost somewhere in the range of $84,000.
