Tesla Expecting To Rule The SUV Segment With Its 2019 Tesla Model X
2019 Tesla Model X is not just the company’s only crossover car currently, but it is also the first electric car that the company will be offering to its customers. The company has spent a lot of time, money and effort in the designing and development of this car, and promises it to be a stunning and an efficient crossover electric vehicle for the customers. The company is really hoping that it will be able to give its competition a big run for their money with this vehicle.
Tesla Model X will offer the customers not just an electric option in the SUV category, but it is also going to be the fastest and the safest SUV on the road. The company is so hopeful about the success of this car, that they have already planned the launch of a compact version of the SUV Model Y in the upcoming year.
Like any other vehicle, there are some amazing features that all the users are going to simply love, and there are some flaws in the same as well.
Likes:
The first feature about the vehicle that would be appreciated by all drivers of the same is the high range that it offers. You can expect a range of up to 295 miles from this SUV. There are some other electric cars in the market which do offer a better and a much higher range than this, however, even 295 is a very good range, making this a good driving option for daily chores. The second great feature of this vehicle is its quick acceleration. Finally, and probably the most interesting feature present in this SUV, is the autopilot semi-autonomous driving system. This system makes driving and maneuvering this car easy and fun.
Dislikes:
The first feature about the vehicle which almost anyone who has seen or used the same is complaining about is its falcon wing doors. These doors are extremely troublesome. The second feature of the car that I do not like is that it does not give us the option of mounting a roof rack. Third, the monoposts are a big disappointment as well, since they cannot be folded, hence, restricts the cargo space.
New Feature
The company has introduced a new feature in the 2018 Tesla Model X, which they are hoping will make the car more useful and appealing to the customers. The vehicle comes with varying seating options, and the company has given a fold-flat seat option in the model which comes with a seven seat configuration. Of course, any customer who wishes to opt for this new feature will have to shell out $3000 more. However, with these fold-flat seats, they will be able to maximize their cargo space. Thanks to this feature, the cargo space in Model X will increase to 88.0 cubic feet. This cargo space will be much more than the cargo space available in many of the competitive vehicles like Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7, BMW X5, etc.

Exteriors And Interiors Of The Vehicle
The elegant and well sculpted body that we can see in the current Model X, available in the market, will be used in the 2019 Tesla Model X as well. The front grill and headlamps will all remain unchanged. The rear doors will be Falcon wings, making access to the second and third rows of the vehicle much easier. Standard 20 inch alloy wheels will be provided in this vehicle, however, the customers will have the option of getting the same changed to 22 inch alloy wheels for an extra cost. As for the interiors of the vehicle, the same will come with many different seating configurations and a lot of cabin and cargo space. You can choose between a five, six or seven seater and for extra cargo space, you can opt for fold-flat seats in the second and third rows. Latest technology and features for navigation, entertainment, etc. will be present in the car. The safety features available in the vehicle are also very good.
Powertrain
Two electric motors and a battery pack power this vehicle. In the base model of the car, i.e. 75D, 75kWh battery will be fitted and it will give a range of 237 miles with a top speed of 130 mph and an acceleration of 0-60 in 6 seconds. The higher model, 90D, will come with a battery pack of 90 kWh, providing a range of 257, top speed of 155 mph and acceleration of 0to 60 in 4.8 seconds. Finally, we have the 100D model, with a battery pack of 100kWh, range of 295 miles and acceleration of 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds.
Release Date And Price
The exact date for the release of this vehicle has not yet been announced by the company. As for the price of the same, the starting price for the base model should be around $83000, and the top model should go up to $145000. For additional features, the customers will have to pay more to the company.
