Ford EcoSport is a sporty vehicle that stands high in the market of compact crossovers boasting a compatible economy package. The starting price for the 2018 Ford EcoSport stands at $27,700. It is a four door, five passenger compact sports utility vehicle. The 2018 Ford EcoSport will be an all – new model for the US market.
2018 Ford EcoSport Engine
The 2018 Ford EcoSport is powered by a 1.0 liter turbocharged EcoBoost three cylinder engine that directs the control to the front wheels. This is speculated to produce a power of 123 hp and a torque of 148 pound feet. Another optional engine type would be a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated four cylinder, producing 167 hp and 149 pound feet of torque. Both the engine types come coupled with a six speed automatic transmission. Four Wheel Drive system will feature with this. The 2018 EcoSport will be available in four trim levels: S, SE, SES and the range topping Titanium model. The SES trim level will be the sporty variant of the vehicle.
2018 Ford EcoSport Exteriors
The 2018 EcoSPort is a family vehicle featuring a metal – look grille on the front fascia. It would run over 17 to 18 inch Aluminium wheels. The vehicle has been beautifully designed with laterally sweeping headlights, body colored front and back bumpers and sully galvanized steel panels. The back gate has been freshly designed to sweep out horizontally like a door rather than vertically. The power moonroof is another pleasant feature that adds to the luxury quotient of the vehicle. Additionally, there comes a Glove box with an air-conditioning vent that remains cool during a hot summer day as well.
2018 Ford EcoSport Interiors
The interiors are contemporarily designed with extensively used high quality materials. The heated front seats boast premium leather upholstery that beautifies the look. The SES model comprises of sporty seats that are cushioned well. The utility areas like elbow rest areas, cup - holders and storage boxes are well organized for an easy to use cabin. The infotainment complex comprises of an 8 inch LCD touchscreen, Navigation system, Apple CarPlay connectivity, Android Auto connectivity, USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity and Voice Recognition. There will be optional B&O Play Premium audio system with 675 watts of amplification and 10 speakers sound system.
2018 Ford EcoSport Safety Features
The 2018 EcoSports contains many technologies that offers best in class safety and driver assistive features. The various other safety ensuing and driver assistive features include Traction Control, Blind Spot Monitoring System with Cross Traffic Alert, Anti – Lock Braking System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Brake Assist, Rear Parking Sensors, Hill Hold Control, Rain Detecting Variable Intermittent Wipers, Rear Child Safety Locks and Safety Belt Pretensioners.
